In visionary cities like London and Paris, you can find a fast-food Indian boite bustling on every corner. But in the States, our take-outs options are restricted to only Mexican, Chinese, pizza or burger joints. The Philadelphia Chutney Company is looking to change that and bring Philly up to speed.
At the Chutney Co., we have a fun, Indian-fusion concept that we're taking to locations all around the city. Our Southern Indian fusion menu (which you'll see on our cool chalkboards in our bright blue, orange and green stores) is lighter and healthier than the heavy food most people associate with Indian cuisine. And on top of that, our food here is organically sourced, health-conscious, low fat, and natural.
This project of passion was fueled by Nirav Mehta, a former technology entrepreneur with dreams of the dot-com era to create something special, and Baldev Singh, a former attorney whose chef dreams led him to open Aman's restaurants and eventually become the boisterous "cooking guy" behind the scenes at Chutney.
